WDI Inspection or in other areas WDO Inspection more commonly referred to as a Termite Inspection, WDI stands for “Wood Destroying Insects” and WDO stands for “Wood-Destroying Organisms”.
Wood Destroying Insects – Organisms are termites, carpenter ants, carpenter bees, wood-destroying beetles.
During the WDI inspection a licensed inspector will perform a visual and physical inspection of the accessible areas of the home, looking for evidence of:
- infestation
- conducive conditions
- previous infestations
- previous treatments.
by wood destroying insects.
The inspector will provide you written report using Texas Official Wood Destroying Insect Report Form SPCS/T-4. The report will detail what if any conducive conditions were observed, presence or absence of active infestation, previous infestation or previous treatment by wood destroying insects. The report will also provide the inspector’s treatment recommendations for active infestation or evidence of previous infestation without evidence of previous treatment and/or corrective actions required if there are conducive conditions.
