Termite (WDI) Inspection
WDI Inspection or in other areas WDO Inspection more commonly referred to as a Termite Inspection, WDI stands for “Wood Destroying Insects” and WDO stands for “Wood-Destroying Organisms”.
Wood Destroying Insects – Organisms are termites, carpenter ants, carpenter bees, wood-destroying beetles.
During the WDI inspection a licensed inspector will perform a visual and physical inspection of the accessible areas of the home, looking for evidence of:
- infestation
- conducive conditions
- previous infestations
- previous treatments.
by wood destroying insects.
The inspector will provide you written report using Texas Official Wood Destroying Insect Report Form SPCS/T-4. The report will detail what if any conducive conditions were observed, presence or absence of active infestation, previous infestation or previous treatment by wood destroying insects. The report will also provide the inspector’s treatment recommendations for active infestation or evidence of previous infestation without evidence of previous treatment and/or corrective actions required if there are conducive conditions.
Pool & Spa Inspection
Your inspector will inspect the visible and accessible components of the pool and/or spa to evaluate the condition of the structural, electrical, plumbing and mechanical components . The inspector will operate the pool controls in service mode to evaluate the operation of the above ground plumbing, filter, pumps, heaters and blowers if present.
Sprinkler System Inspection
Your inspector will visually inspect the accessible components of the sprinkler system:
- controller
- rain/freeze sensor
- backflow preventer
- sprinkler heads
The inspector will operate the sprinkler system in manual mode to identify any operational or plumbing problems with the system.
Septic System Inspection
Your inspector will inspect the visible and accessible components of the septic system access covers, risers, tank, baffles/tees, mechanical components and distribution system. The inspector will check the condition of:
- risers and covers
- the tank,
- influent/effluent baffles/tees
- mechanical equipment (pumps, aerators, float tree, alarms)
- Measure the depth of sludge in each of the tanks/compartments
- distribution system (sprinklers, drainfield)
Water Well Inspection
Your inspector will inspect the visible and accessible above ground mechanical, plumbing and electrical components of the private water well for proper installation and performance.
The inspector will operate the well equipment to determine the pressure and flow rate of the well.
Water Sample Collection
RoadRunner Inspection Service can collect the sample of the well water and make arrangements for an EPA certified laboratory to analyze the water samples. At a minimum all private well water that is used for human and animal consumption should at a minimum have a bacteriological analysis performed to determine the presence or absence of Coliform bacteria. Detached Structure Inspection
Detached structures are:
- Barns/Shops
- Pool Cabanas
- Boat Docks
The inspector will inspect the of the visible and accessible areas of the detached structure to evaluate the condition of the structural, electrical, plumbing and mechanical components.
Gas Line Inspection
The inspector will check the visible and accessible gas line fittings and connections with a handheld gas detector for evidence of gas leaks.
